Conrad Zirkle

Founder & President

Hi, I’m Conrad. I’m very passionate about physics and engineering, though I didn’t realize how exciting these subjects could be until recently. Exploring how things work and solving problems creatively has opened my eyes to a whole new way of thinking. Growing up, I didn’t have many opportunities to explore these topics, and I wish I had been introduced to them earlier. That’s why I started this club, to inspire younger students and give them the chance to discover the excitement of physics and engineering for themselves. My goal is to spark curiosity, encourage exploration, and show that these subjects can be both challenging and incredibly rewarding.

Cole Lawson

Founder & Vice President

Hello, I’m Cole Lawson, a junior at Tam. I have a strong passion for math and physics. Growing up, I wasn’t introduced to these topics for a long time, and even then, they seemed like a daunting task. For that reason, I decided to co-found this club in aims of sparking interest in the younger generation and giving them the opportunities I wished I had.

Samuel Adkins

Secretary

Since I’ve lived and gone to school in Marin County for most of my life, Math in Motion feels like the perfect way to give back to the community that raised me. I went to Strawberry Point Elementary and Mill Valley Middle School, and I’ve seen how many smart, curious kids have a hard time finding what they’re passionate about. With Math in Motion, we visit local schools to share fun, hands-on physics experiments that make learning exciting. This club brings together my love for science and my goal of inspiring others, and I’m really looking forward to being part of it this year.

Brady Richter

Treasurer

My name is Brady Richter, and I’m excited to join the club because it offers a unique way to explore physics through real-world demonstrations and outreach. While physics isn’t my main passion, I’m eager to learn more about it and contribute to something that inspires younger students to enjoy science. I’m also particularly interested in the treasurer role because it involves real responsibility through tasks like managing funds, staying organized, and helping the club run smoothly. It’s a great opportunity for me to gain experience with financial management while being part of a team that’s making a real impact.

Sullivan Gillmore

Photographer

I am interested in joining the Math in Motion club because it offers the opportunity to combine my math skills with my passion for creative problem solving. As a design-oriented person, I enjoy finding elegant, structured solutions, something that both math and physics encourage. Tutoring through this club would allow me to share my enthusiasm for these subjects while strengthening my own understanding and communication skills in a collaborative, academic environment.

Luke Nurney

Homework Manager

I want to join this club to deepen my interests and fully invest myself in something meaningful. This opportunity allows me to contribute to a cause with real impact while connecting with others who share similar passions. I look forward to continuing this journey and pursuing growth both within myself and within the community.

Sai Wong

I am joining primarily to help the youth learn about hard concepts such as physics. I always liked the idea of physics but felt it was too late and too intimidating to take on. Building a strong foundation and base for learning is important and education should be something that all children can have the option to take. I am joining this club because I believe it will better the community I live in and more specifically help educate kids who want to learn despite their financial situations. It not only provides them with a gateway to more knowledge but also their confidence in learning. I want the kids to have that confident approach to problems beyond their education and take it into the real world. This club has the potential to remake the stereotypes of physics and encourage more students to learn and take on this subject.

Alexander Neugebauer

My name is Alex Neugebauer, and I’m a junior at Tamalpais High School. I enjoy math as well as all of the main sciences: biology (particularly endocrinology and immunology), physics, and chemistry. Math in motion piqued my interest as it’s a way for kids to engage in real-world and everyday concepts, and since it’s an intriguing way to learn–one that’s different from standard textbooks. I’m joining so I can help kids construct a solid foundation with the principles of physics; something I wish I did at an earlier age. My ultimate hope is to inspire every person I interact with to want to learn more about the wonders of science.

Ryan Bindeman

Hey, I’m Ryan Bindeman. I’m passionate about physics, business, and finance, and I’m always curious about how things work—from the motion of physical systems to the way businesses and markets operate. Outside of academics, I enjoy staying active by playing baseball, tennis, and golf, as well as swimming. I also love spending time with my friends and my dog. I joined this club to connect with others who share similar interests and to learn through collaboration. I’m excited to help grow the club, potentially expanding to other schools, and to give students opportunities to explore physics while developing teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills. My goal is to make learning engaging, meaningful, and enjoyable for everyone involved.

Max Oliveira

Hi, I’m Max Oliveira. I love to play soccer, drive, cook, and hang out with my friends. I love physics and science and I have taken AP Environmental Science and Honors Physiology in the three years I have been at Tam High. I love to teach and tutor younger students and I am excited to be a part of this team.
